  • Daily vlogs to look and learn how social media analytics work. Also, to learn how to film and edit the videos to a 15 second video clip and make them appealing to the viewer.

 

How to Record A Professional Vlog

  • Plan B-Roll Shots

  • Show the viewer what you're doing instead of telling them.

  • Make sure you know how you want to edit your video

  • Keep it short but simple when telling the viewers what you're doing

  • Make sure there’s music behind your B-Roll

  • Make sure the music you use matches up with your clips

  • Use a microphone

  • If filming a come cook with me have the camera positioned above what I'm cooking and preparing. (aka an overhead shot)

  • Knee level shot of walking places

  • A body b-roll shot of me doing work

  • How do they film it: They film them talking about what they're going to do that day whilst putting on makeup or doing skincare.

  • Audience: This is mainly aimed at 11–20-year olds.

  • Longer style video but its more engaging

 

Come Cook with Me Style Video

  • How do they film it: This type of video is filmed by using a tripod and shooting the video from an above angle. They’ll also use a catchy/trendy song as well to catch the audience's attention. This leads to the viewer being more engaged in what you're cooking, and they’ll be more likely to watch the whole video. Many people will put the recipe at the end of the video as well as the audience will be more likely to like and favorite the video meaning the video will be pushed to more people and creating a more loyal audience engaged following.

  • Audience: Aimed mainly at 15-25 year olds.

  • Longer style video but viewers are more likely to watch it.
