Statement Of Purpose 

I have been asked to edit a short youtube video for the series ‘hit the road’

Hit the road a guy called matthew teaches you how to maintain your car from checking things like washing your car scratch free.  

This series is aimed at first time drivers who are unsure or just people who are interested in cars. 

 

1. How am I going to edit this series? 

I’ll be making sure that the editing is pg and suitable for younger viewers. 

I took inspiration from top gear and the grand tour. I took inspiration from their close-up shots and post visual effects are edited into the show, thus making it look seamless and makes us viewers more interested.  

I edited graphics like social media tags and some messages and text just on the screen. 

My editing style is going to make any cuts look seamless and flow between scenes. I will not be using any cut scenes I will be making sure that my footage won't be jumpy. I will work with the graphics team to make sure any graphics needed for post-visual effects are needed. I’ll also be making sure that I send some raw footage to the director so that he can have a say on anything I need to change. My goal for this production is to make sure that the viewers are interested and not bored whilst watching. I’ll also be working closely with the sound directors so I will be able to edit the intro to the series so that the viewers know what they’re watching. I’m going to cut the video to 3 minutes long.
