Final Evaluation Of Daily Vlogs
When i started both these projects, my main aim was to develop my filming and editing skills that were good enough to produce daily vlog and a get ready with me series. Whilst reflecting on this project as a whole, my filming and video was very much a success as my followers liked my style of filming and editing. It also follows the conventions I identified in my genre of filming daily vlogs.

Overall I found that my planning was alright but it could've been better. I should've planned and tested these shots before I filmed them, however if I did that it would've gotten rid of the authentic feel I wanted it to have. It also could've been better quality but if it did have better quality it once again would've gotten rid of the authentic and relevant/homey feel of the vlogs.

I used many clips you could see in the filming example's that I liked. I never ended up using a voice over for any clips as I disliked how fast paced they could make the video, however I made sure I found music that matched the feel and vibe of the video which they wanted, like @fifisophkillz does. I also added text like @abbie.may13 used in many of her videos which I found help my retention rate go up as people were more interested in what was happening and helped them engage more with my video. However I found myself filming a lot more transitions and b-roll clips as I loved how they matched the vibe of my vlogs. This ended up doing really well for me and helped many more people discover the videos i was filming.

When completing my research I definitely made sure to keep the things I would be looking into were relevant to my projects. Luckily, I had a bit of knowledge before producing these projects but when completing my research I made sure to keep it all relevant to my project so I looked at camera angles and editing styles I knew I was going to use in the projects. Even then when reflecting on my work, even though it is important to keep the research relevant, its also important to have a broad understanding of the topics you are working with.
This daily vlogs project really helped me develop a number of skills, including the in depth planning I had to complete in order for filming and editing to go smoothly. I will definitely take these skills forward as I know the positive impacts it has on my production work.
In summary this project was definitely a massive learning curve for me, from using new equipment to learning about how to use capcut and social media most efficiently. I could've improved this project with small details, but with all the feedback I received I was able to implement the vast majority into my final edits. Overall, this project has helped me build on my social media and editing skills, both of which are essential skills for the social media industry.
